Jagriti Singh

Ms. Jagriti Singh is a corporate lawyer who has diverse work experience in premiere law firms in India and as an in-house counsel in some of the largest corporations in India and Nepal. She is qualified to practice law in both India and Nepal. Presently she is working as a consultant to Department for International Development (DFID) wherein her role is to provide legal services to the Investment Board, Government of Nepal. Prior to this she was working as an Associate in the Corporate Structuring team of Luthra & Luthra Law Offices, New Delhi, India.

Some of Ms. Singh’s work experiences include:

  • Assisted in negotiating and drafting the Project Development Agreements for Upper Karnali and Arun-III hydropower projects of 900 MW each.
  • Drafting contracts and providing legal opinions on corporate law and foreign investment law matters in India and Nepal.
  • Assisted in conducting due diligences in various transactions including for a takeover by telecom company of assets spread across 15 African countries, a deal valued at USD 10.7 billion.
  • Ensuring corporate compliances for various multinational corporations and large domestic corporations.

Master of Laws (LL.M.) with certificate of specialization in Business Law from University of California, Berkeley School of Law, California, U.S.A.

B.A., LL.B. (Hons.) from National Law School of India University, Bangalore, India.
