Dr. Rishav Bista

Dr. Rishav Bista is an academic and is an Assistant Professor of Economics at Marshall University (West Virginia, USA). His primary research interests are in International Economics (with an emphasis on Empirical International Trade), Macroeconomics and Applied Econometrics. He has published his research in various internationally reputed journals such as the Review of International Economics, Applied Economics Letters, and International Economic Journal. He is also the founding member of Center for Community Growth and Development (CCGD) alongside Dr. Michael Newsome and Dr. Rebecca Tomasik. CCGD has been involved in various projects ranging from providing consultation to the university as well the local government.

Rishav possesses a diverse set of statistical skills and is well versed with various statistical software.  His expertise of econometric analysis pertains to panel data analysis, quartile analysis (examining heterogeneity in statistical relationships) & quantile analysis.

Besides his research activities or teaching responsibilities, he enjoys cooking, working out and hanging out with friends and his dog Rooney.
